Quickly Organizing Pantry Closets on a Budget

Quickly organizing pantry closets is one thing; quickly organizing pantry closets on a budget of $30 is another. Mise En Place Home Edits faced a quick project, albeit one that suffered from the age-old “shove it in there and deal with it later” syndrome. We’ve all been there, haven’t we?

But pantry closets are widely beloved kitchen components. In fact, a walk-in pantry is the most wanted kitchen feature, with 83 percent of home buyers reporting it is an essential/must have (32%) or desirable item (51%).

Quickly Organizing Pantry Closets: Storage & Inventory

Fortunately, quickly organizing pantry closets on a budget doesn’t have to be complicated. At a friendly budget of $30, Mise En Place Home Edits purchased bright red bins in different sizes. We implemented these bins as a storage system for food and drinks. To break it down further, each bin contained a popular category, including pasta, snacks, and more.

But let’s not forget the ultimate purpose of the food pantry closet, inventory. Using a chalk white marker, the homeowner faced a much easier time going down the pantry roster prior to some in-depth grocery shopping.

Quickly Organizing Pantry Closets: Drawers & Accessories

Like many pantry closets, this one featured its cavalcade of unused kitchen accessories. Throw these out! Meanwhile, take any beloved family items and place them on the top shelf. After all, they are beloved, aren’t they?

As an added bonus, this pantry closet contained built-in drawers. For these, we stored tools and camping equipment. With three beloved doggos in the home, one drawer even became a space for dog-related materials.

Summary

Even the quick projects require tactful thought. This is especially true when you are on a tight budget.
